I invite everyone who writes derogatory comments on this blog to visit the Ashby high rise site and focus on the situation. It’s an eye opener at 6 PM when you think of adding almost three times the traffic from the current site onto a two lane street; not 4 or 6 lanes the developers’ website show for comparable. The current and prior mayors agreed it’s the wrong project for the wrong site.
If this project is built, the effort to protest it will have been worth it. It’s been a means of Houstonians supporting one another to say we are tired of bad development that threatens our safety (think of emergency access) and quality of life no matter where we live.
